Technically it’s still summer for a few more days but it’s very definitely autumn around here. High up on the valley side we are often graced with lovely sunshine when the bulk of Amboise is stuck in fog or very low clouds. It’s the case today so I changed routes halfway going uphill instead of downhill.
The swallows look like they’re debating whether to get going south now or wait around a little while.
There were rather a lot of them over in Chandon.
This spider’s web is abandoned like many others. All the spiders are trying to get in our house. They’re in the sink every morning, behind the curtains, in the loo. This must be the height of the spider swallowing season (we all swallow about a hundred spiders per year while we sleep – it’s true, I read it on the internet).
