Walking up the rue Bretonneau I got a shot of Saint Denis’ church, an edifice built in the 11th century, through a gate that is usually shut.

We’re having some lovely weather here and the streets are full of grockles. Not as much as Monday when the whole of France descended on the fabulous and famous Brocante de la Pentecôte on the market place. We went bright and early (11 o’clockish!) and had to park about a mile away. As residents I think there should be special places reserved so that we don’t have to walk more than 50 metres but I don’t think I’ll make much headway with that at the Town Hall…
