So, I cycled and walked today. The linear quality of coastlines makes for repetitive walks. The solution is to cycle a bit then walk.

This is rather perplexing. It’s a forbidden area but there’s a convenient path taking you there. Another sign, hand-written this time said, “dead-end path, no entry, no smoking”. This is weird. It appears to mean that should you ignore the sign and follow this well established path up onto the dune then, when you’re up there, you should refrain from smoking.

Other official signs have restricted access to the nature reserve threatening death by drowning. I can’t think why you’d want to go in there in the first place…

It’s all dead trees and mud. And corpses of death-by-drowning victims.
